PACING THE
SIDeLINES

Arne Viimets has a passion for opera, he owns a dog named Chopin, and he quotes Thoreau at dinner parties.

He also happens to have a brilliant football mind.

Ten years after being fired, he is back on the sidelines. He has demons to purge, and he believes he’s found a way to exorcise them: he will turn a mediocre team into winners, and at the same time instill character and toughness into players weakened by the insipid and unguided principles of modern society.

But coaching, as Arne will learn, is more than Xs and Os. A lot more. And a team can be more, or less, than the sum of its players.

This is a story of college football. Buckle up your chinstraps
